Tailored To A New World

Come to Jamestown Settlement for a weekend focused on the study and re-creation of late 16th- and early 17th-century clothing. “Tailored to a New World” brings together historical clothing scholars from the United Kingdom and the United States for a truly unique learning experience that combines hands-on workshops with traditional lectures.

June 8: Public Lecture: “Sufficiently Appareled,” Jamestown Settlement, 6:30 p.m. – A free public lecture led by historical clothing experts Jane Malcolm-Davies and Ninya Mikhaila of The Tudor Tailor and JMD & Co., a live interpretation consultancy, will explore a poor man’s guide to cutting a dash in Elizabethan England.
