Registration Opens April 1 for Summer History Camps at Jamestown Settlement, American Revolution Museum at Yorktown

WILLIAMSBURG, Va., March 30, 2018 – Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown will offer a full slate of history camps with hands-on fun this summer for young people age 4 through eighth grade. Registration begins online April 1 for an array of Broadside history camps in June and July, the “School of the Musketeer” in July and “Yorktown Myth Busters” in August.

Offerings include:

Broadside – Children’s Summer History Camps, select dates from June 18 to July 27, Jamestown Settlement & American Revolution Museum at Yorktown: Summer fun with an educational twist on colonial American history through hands-on activities, games, stories and take-home crafts. School of the Musketeer, July 9-13, Jamestown Settlement: Do you have what it takes to be a musketeer? Sign up with the Virginia Company of London and help establish a foothold in the New World. Learn fort construction, cooking, armoring, carpentry and 17th-century military tactics, before defending the fort against Spanish attack! This five-day summercamp, available for children who have completed grades 4-7, runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. $200. Yorktown Myth Busters, July 30-August 3, American Revolution Museum at Yorktown: Investigate and uncover the truth behind the legends of the American Revolution. To unravel the past, myth busters conduct experiments, explore ancient documents and face some of the same challenges as America’s Founding Fathers. This five-day summer camp, available for children who have completed grades 6-8, runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. $200.
