Classroom Outreach

Bring the museum to your classroom with hands-on history!

Can’t come to one of our museums? The Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation can bring one of our inquiry-based, educational programs to your classroom. During each program, students will examine reproduction artifacts and primary sources, allowing them to learn through historical analysis and critical thinking. Click on the programs listed below for specific information about each.

The hour-long outreach programs support the Virginia Standards of Learning and you can find related teaching resources in our Learning Center to supplement the lesson.  Programs are designed for an average class size and last one hour. A minimum of three classes are required to book outreach.

Average price is $1.85 per student.

Programs are only available in Virginia. If you’re outside Virginia, please visit our Distance Learning page to explore our interactive video conferencing opportunities.
