
In conjunction with the “TENACITY: Women in Jamestown and Early Virginia” special exhibition, Dr. Deborah Gray White, Board of Governors Distinguished Professor of History at Rutgers University, examines the context of the historical profession through the personal lens of researching and writing “Ar’n’t I a Woman: Female Slaves in the Plantation South.” The public lecture begins at 7 p.m. in Jamestown Settlement’s Robins Foundation Theater.
