Lower Level Construction is Completed

By late fall 2013, structural work on the lower level of the museum building was completed, and the main level was beginning to take shape.

U.S. Senator Mark Warner, shown with Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation Executive Director Phil Emerson and Acting Senior Director of Museum Operations and Education Jim Holloway, visited the Yorktown Victory Center on September 5, 2013, for a briefing on the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown and a tour of the construction site.

 

 

 


The First Footings are Laid

New Parking Area Open

The American Revolution Museum at Yorktown cornerstone was dedicated on May 10, 2013. University of Virginia Professor A.E. Dick Howard spoke on the worldwide impact of the American Revolution, and Virginia Secretary of Education Laura W. Fornash spoke on museums as an educational resource.
