Family Tours at Jamestown Settlement

Spend a morning at Jamestown Settlement for a fun, unique experience the entire family can enjoy!
Start with an engaging hands-on walking tour of the museum’s re-created Powhatan Indian village, 1607 ships and colonial fort, and riverfront discovery area.
After a break for light refreshments, kids are gathered for a craft-making experience and gallery scavenger hunt, while grown-ups go their own way for a special in-depth program.
Programs for grown-ups include:
August 11 & 16: Godspeed: Below the Deck – A short program led by a seasoned sailing crew member introduces participants to 17th-century sailing and navigation. Learn how a chip log, compass and hourglass allowed sailors to determine their speed and course across the ocean, then participate in a special tour of the re-created Godspeed or Susan Constant!
PROGRAM COST/ADDED VALUE: Adults $26; Youth (ages 4-12) $16
In addition to the Family Tour, this program includes seven consecutive days of unlimited admission to Jamestown Settlement and the Yorktown Victory Center. Donors of the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation, Inc., Annual Fund at the Rochambeau Club and above receive a 10% discount. No other discounts apply.
RESERVATIONS: Advance reservations are required no later than 48 hours prior to program date. Space is limited to 30 participants per date, so make your reservations early by calling (757) 253-4939.
NOTE: Participants should be dressed appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.
