History is an adventure at Jamestown Settlement and the Yorktown Victory Center. Experience the story of America’s beginnings – from the founding of America’s first permanent English colony in 1607 to the Revolution and the establishment of a new nation almost two centuries later. Explore the museums’ exhibition galleries and learn about life in the 17th and 18th centuries in the outdoor living-history areas. Download the museum brochure.
Enjoy Wintertime
at the Museums
Find a winter retreat at Jamestown Settlement and the Yorktown Victory Center, offering extensive gallery exhibits, films and interactive displays. Through February 17, visitors can enjoy daily guided tours of the outdoor-living history areas with special demonstrations. At Jamestown Settlement, 90-minute guided tours of the re-created Powhatan Indian village, 1607 ships and colonial fort begin every hour from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. At the Yorktown Victory Center, guided tours of the museum’s Continental Army encampment and 1780s farm begin every hour from 10:05 a.m. to 4:05 p.m.
How can one day of fun last an entire year? With the “Buy One Day, Get An Entire Year” offer, residents from Virginia Beach to Richmond can purchase an American Heritage Annual Pass to Jamestown Settlement and the Yorktown Victory Center for the cost of a single-day ticket.
February 11 is a special day of fun at Jamestown Settlement for the whole family. Locals - residents of Williamsburg, James City County and York County - get in free on Community Day, and every day.
